Job Summary

Provide financial analysis support to management. Provide decision support analysis to assist with business decision making. Analyze impact of changing business trends on current and future operating results.

Responsibilities

• Record and analyze financial information, including managing job cost attributes in ERP, and review transactions related to construction activities
• Compile, consolidate, and analyze accounting and finance information for the production of reports
• Create and analyze financial reports (cost to complete, job labor, equipment utilization, work in progress, etc.)
• Import and reconcile equipment usage
• Complete job cost transfers
• Develop and deliver ad hoc analyses and reports
• Review and analyze forecasts versus actuals, understand variances, trends, and recommend actions to improve performance and forecast accuracy
• Work with construction management system process, including job set-up, budgets, job costs, cost codes, contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and performance reports
• Prepare/gather materials related to construction and cost accounting matters for internal review and for external accountants
• Document and make improvements to work processes
• Assist on special projects and audits as needed
• Assist Accounting team as needed
• Perform other duties as required

Required Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related area.
• Five (5) years of accounting or finance experience, with 2 years in accounting or finance in the construction industry
• Ability to convert data into information and recommendations and to drive subsequent action across the organization
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret relevant financial and accounting records and transactions.
• Excellent MS Excel skills (designing, modeling, graphing, automation, pivoting, reporting, analyzing) and comfort in dealing with large amounts of data
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong organization, facilitation, and communication skills
